GERTRUDE S. BERGER, 72, of Rochelle Park, formerly of Ridgefield, died Saturday. Born in Czechoslovakia, she came to the United States in 1938. She was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Arrangements: Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield.

JOHN J. BROGAN, 77, of Tenafly died Saturday. Before retiring in 1983, he was a tax manager for the Bristol-Myers New York City, where he worked for 36 years. A graduate of the University of Scranton, he earned a law degree from Fordham University. He was a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Tax Executive Institute.

THEODORE BURZENSKI 75, of Ridgefield, formerly of North Bergen, died Friday. He was a selfemployed carpenter. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7502, Ridgefield. LUCY FILIDORO CARBONE, 87, of Lyndhurst died Saturday. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lyndhurst, and a member of its Rosary Society. JOHN CHAGACHBANIAN, 59, of Wyckoff died Saturday. Before retiring, he was a quality-control engineer for J.C. Penney, New York City, where he worked for 24 years. He was a member of St. Leon Armenian Church, Fair Lawn, and its Men's Club, Parish Council, and Ramp Building Committee.

Charles Sieg of N. Milford; won Emmys for TV news By MICHAEL MARKOWITZ Staff Writer Charles W. Sieg of New Milford, an Emmy Award- winning former director for NBC News and NBC Sports, died Sunday of heart failure at Hackensack Medical Center. He was 69. Mr.

Sieg retired from NBC in 1984 after spending 35 years at the network. His work as a director of "The Huntley-Brinkley Report," the network's nightly news show, was recognized with five Emmy Awards. He also directed NBC's coverage of national political conventions and elections between 1956 and 1976, as well as the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo space missions. During a tenure in the sports division, Mr. Sieg directed coverage of the National Football League and events on the Professional Golfers Association Tour.

Mr. Sieg was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. A captain in the Marine Corps, he piloted transport planes in the South Pacific during World War II. In Korea, Mr. Sieg flew helicopters.

A native of Memphis, Mr. Sieg had lived in New Milford since 1956. He is survived by his wife, Marr; a daughter, Susan Pergola of Ringwood; three sons, Charles Jr. River Vale, John S. of Rochelle Park, Steven R.

of Tinton Falls, five grandchildren. and Visiting will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Volk-Leber Funeral Home, Oradell. A memorial service will be Tuesday at 9 p.m. Cremation will be private.

Waligroski Jr. of Ramsey died Friday at Hackensack Medical Center as a result of injuries he suffered in a bicycle accident in Ringwood in July. He was 25. Mr. Waligroski had worked as a chef at Michael's Deli Catering in Ramsey.

Before that, he had been a dispatcher for the Ramsey Police Department and was a member of the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Company. Mr. Waligroski, who was born in Ridgewood, was a resident of Ramsey for five years. Before moving to Ramsey, Mr. Waligroski lived in Huguenot, N.Y., where he was a member of the Fire Department and the Port Jervis Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

He was the Huguenot Fire Department's 1987 Fireman of the Year. Mr. Waligroski is survived by his father, Thomas J. Waligroski Sr. of Waldwick; his mother and stepfather, Maryann C.

and Robert M. Pierson of Huguenot; and five brothers, Robert Waligroski and Erik Waligroski of Huguenot, ship died Sunday. He was a bartender at the Emerson Hotel, Emerson.
