FF38 OCTOBER 22, 2009 COMMUNITY NEWS OBITUARIES Marvin Abrams Marvin Abrams, of Delray Beach, formerly of Elmwood Park, died Oct. 9. Services were Oct. 12. Arrangements by Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

Her husband, Philip Galati is deceased. Memorial Mass was Oct. 14 at St. Virgil Church, Morris Plains. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater New Jersey Chapter, Denville.

Saddle Brook before moving to Florida in 1975. He was employed by the Passaic County News and New York Times He was self-employed in Florida. Surviving are his wife, Jackie; a son Dominic of Georgia; a daughter, Lisa of Florida; his stepdaughters, Kellie Parhurst and Kathleen Iannucci of Florida; his brothers, Rick of Florida and Joe Orlando of Clark; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren' and many nieces and nephews. 9. Born in Dublin, Ireland, she came to this country and settled in Elmwood Park for the past 20 years. She was a parishioner of St. Leo's R.C. Church in Elmwood Park.

Surviving are her son, Paul; her siblings, John, Daniel, Thomas, Seamus, Mary, Margaret and Kathleen; and her son mother-in-law of Jorge Munoz. Her husband, John and her daughter, Linda M. Munoz, are deceased. Funeral was Oct. 13 at St.

Leo's R.C. Church, Elmwood Park, with interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Arrangements by Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Elmwood Park. Thomas Croughan Jr.

Thomas M. Croughan 66, of Bonita Springs, formerly of Fair Lawn, died Oct. 5. Born in Paterson, he lived in Fair Lawn until retirement from the Fair Lawn Post Office as a supervisor. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the American Legion Post 171 and the Catholic War Vets of his past parish of St.

Anne's Church of Fair Lawn. Surviving are his wife, Beth; his children, Samantha and Melissa Croughan; a brother, Matthew Anthony and his wife, Irma; a nephew; a niece; and 16 first cousins. His daughter, Michelle, is deceased. A private cremation took place in Florida. Nuala Egan ELMWOOD PARK Nuala Egan Chester Gutkowski Chester F.

Gutkowski, 66, died Oct. 4. Born in Dzisno, Poland, he came to the United States in 1957 with his family. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966, he settled in Wayne where he raised his family and enjoyed a career as a builder and construction worker.

Surviving are his son, Kenneth F. Gutkowski; a daughter, Christine A. Battaglini; a daughter-in-law, Kim L. Gutkowski; a son-in-law, Greg Battaglini; seven grandchildren; a sister, Regina Oczkowski of Sparta and Eagle, his brothers, Ronald of Mon-trise, and John of Elmwood Park; and several nieces and nephews. A grandson is deceased.

Memorial services will be scheduled for spring 2010. Concetta Krum FAIR LAWN Concetta "Etta" J. (Marino) Krum, 79, died Oct. 13. Born in Paterson, she resided in Fair Lawn all her life.

She was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn. She was an avid bowler. Surviving are her husband, William Krum; her children, Joann Cisternino and her husband, Guy and William A.

Lud vik 79, died Oct. 12. Born in Garfield, he lived there before moving to Saddle Brook 43 years ago.

He was an auto mechanic for Burack Oldsmobile-Chevrolet in Lincoln Park retiring in 1992. Previously, he worked for Erwin Chevrolet, Passaic, and several other automobile dealerships in the area. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War and was a member of the Garfield V.F.W. Benda-Roehrich Post 2867.

He was a member of the 1st Reformed Church of Saddle Brook, a church sexton, and member of the church choir. He was a former member of the Garden State Circle Burners Model Airplane Club of Clifton, and a Cub Scout Leader in Garfield and Saddle Brook. Surviving are his wife, Wilma; his son, David Ludvik of Saddle Brook; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. His son, Ralph Ludvik and his sister, Jane Vander Werf, are deceased. Funeral was Oct.

She was member of the Saddle Brook Republican Club and elected 35 years as County Committee Woman for the 5th District. She was also a member of the Historical Society and AARP. Surviving are her daughters, Elaine and her husband, Joseph Marcincin, of Saddle Brook and Linda and her husband, Thomas Hemmerling, of Maywood; three granddaughters; and four greatgrandchildren. Her husband, Police Capt. Herbert Schubert, is deceased.

Services were Oct. 16 with interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Arrangements by Kugler Community Home for Funerals, Saddle Brook. Adolph Stransky ELMWOOD PARK Adolph J. Stransky, 86, died Oct.

9. Born in New York City, he was a lifelong resident of the borough. He was a machine operator for Standard Button Machine Company, Paterson, for 46 years, retiring in 1988. He was a WWII veteran serving in the navy and a member of the V.F.W. Post 5084, Elmwood Park.

Surviving are children, Jack and his wife, Gladys, of Las Vegas, and Judith of Dover, Del; and two grandchildren. His wife, Helen, is deceased. Funeral was Oct. 12 with interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Arrangements by Patrick J.
