CLIFTON JOURNAL FEBRUARY 1, 2013 19 OBITUARIES BerniceWalcyk CLIFTON Bernice Public Walcyk, 85, of this city, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. Born in Rossiter, Mrs. Walcyk lived in Clifton for more than 60 years. She was a floor manager for Shulton, Clifton, for 25 years before retiring in 1989.

Also, she was a parishioner of St. John Kan-ty R.C. Church, Clifton, and a member of the Athenia Veterans Post Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Walcyk is survived by her sister, Josephine Stolarz, of Clifton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward. Richard Burnadz CLIFTON Richard H. Burnadz, 78, of Port St. Lucie, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

He was a former resident of this city. Born in Paterson, Mr. Burnadz lived in Clifton before moving to Port St. Lucie in 1991. He was a funeral director and the owner of the Burnadz Memorial Home.

Also, he was an Exalted Ruler with the Elks Lodge, Clifton. He was involved with Rotary International as well. Mr. Burnadz is survived by his wife, Ruth Siegers-Burnadz; his son, Richard, of Clifton; his stepchildren, Michael and Sandra Hemkes of Port St. Lucie, and Douglas Hemkes of Orlando, and two grandsons.

Frank Jurkowski CLIFTON Frank Jurkowski, 84, of Wayne, died on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013. He was a former resident of this city. Born in Krempachy, Poland, Mr. Jurkowski came to the United States in 1962 and lived in Clifton before moving to Wayne in 1972.

He was a machine operator for Swepco Tube, Clifton, for 31 years before retiring in 1994. Also, he was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol and a parishioner of Ss. Cyril Methodius R.C. Church, Clifton. Mr.

Jurkowski is survived by his wife, the former Zofia Kalata; his son, Joseph, of Wayne; his daughter, Mary Gore, of Clifton; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister. Rita Bell CLIFTON Rita A. Zampino Bell, 90, of Lakewood, died on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013.

She was a former resident of this city. Born in West New York, Mrs. Bell lived in Clifton for 50 years before moving to Lakewood five years ago. She was a homemaker. Also, she was a parishioner of St.

Clare R.C. Church, Clifton. Mrs. Bell is survived by her son, Robert, of Binghamton, her daughters, Barbara Lombardi of Upper Saddle River, Kathy Testa of Marietta, and Susan Lutz of Abiquiu, N.M.; her brother, Edward Zampino, of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; and her brothers, Paul and Joseph Zampino.

Arthur Lopuzzo CLIFTON Arthur Lewis Lopuzzo, 76, of Fair Lawn, died on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013. He was a former resident of this city. Born and raised in Paterson, Mr. Lopuzzo lived in Clifton before moving to Fair Lawn, where he lived for most of his life.

He was the owner and operator of Salon 95, Elmwood Park, and Arthur Lewis Salon, Fair Lawn, for many years. Mr. Lopuzzo is survived by his wife, the former Linda Vogel; his daughter, Michele Barbalace, of Hawthorne; his son, Robert, of Remington; his sister, Evelyn Hall, of Florida; his brother, Robert, of Clifton; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters, Edith Dyes and Anna Mar-tinelli; and his brother, Donald. Elizabeth Magliacane CLIFTON Elizabeth Verones Magliacane, 84, of this city, died on Thursday, Jan.

10, 2013. Born in Passaic, Mrs. Magliacane lived in Clifton for most of her life. She worked for Eastern Data Paper Little Falls, before retiring. Also, she was a parishioner of St.

Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. Mrs. Magliacane is survived by her husband, Alfonso; her daughters, Donna Klimek of Stanhope, and Nancy Britton of Totowa; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Johanna Siljee CLIFTON Johanna Westrate Siljee, 96, of this city, died on Thursday, Jan.

10, 2013. Born in Lodi, Mrs. Siljee was a lifelong resident of this city. She was a production assistant for Cooper Labs, Fairfield, for 15 years before retiring in 1965. Also, she was a parishioner of the Christian Reformed Church, Clifton, where she was a member of the choir.

Mrs. Siljee is survived by her sons, Gerard and Daniel, both of Clifton, and Paul of Wayne; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard; and her siblings, Dan, Rinnie, Adrian, and Marinus. Elizabeth Summers CLIFTON Elizabeth Mae Summers, 61, of Figueras, Gerona, Spain, died on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.

She was a former resident of this city. Born in Passaic, she was raised in Clifton. She was a missionary in Figueras for 25 years, participating in women's ministries, voice and instrumental music, evangelism, and ESL classes. Previously, she worked at His Mansion in Connecticut. She was a member of Brookdale Christian Church, Bloomfield, as well.

She is survived by her sister, Carol Lockhart, of Clifton. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Rachel. Anna Ebner CLIFTON Anna F. Schull Ebner, 103, of Wyckoff, died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.

She was the sister of Elsie Schull of this city. Born in Passaic, Mrs. Ebner lived in Saddle Brook and Rochelle Park before moving to Wyckoff in 1993. She was a secretary for Stull Engraving Garfield, before retiring. Also, she was a member of St.

Elizabeth R.C. Church, Wyckoff, and a former member of St. Philip's R.C. Church, Saddle Brook. Mrs.

Ebner also is survived by her sons, Arthur of Wyckoff, and Martin of Paramus; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; and her sisters, Johanna Brandl, Tessie Arch, and Mary Sanders. Mary Nardella CLIFTON Mary Margaret Joyce Nardella, 82, of Pompton Plains, died on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. She was a resident of this city.

Born in Lancaster, Ohio, Mrs. Nardella lived in Passaic, Clifton, and Rutherford for most of her life before moving to Pompton Plains. She worked for Bell Telephone, later Verizon, as a phone operator and office manager. Mrs. Nardella is survived by her brother, Christopher Joyce; her niece, Maria Perry; her nephew, Chris Joyce; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph. Libia Udis CLIFTON Libia Sanchez Udis, 72, of this city, died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. Born and raised in Colombia, Mrs. Udis came to the United States in her 20s and lived in Paterson before moving to Clifton in the 1970s.

She worked at Bright Star Industries, Clifton, for 16 years and then at the Daughters of Miriam Center, Clifton, before retiring. Also, she was a parish Sharon Koribanics, Kathy Steindler, and Stanley Salek; her goddaughter, Joanne Krudys; and her caregivers, Jadwiga Brozny and Wieslawa Gorczyca. She was predeceased by her husband, John. Marjorie Schafer CLIFTON Marjorie Ehres-mann Schafer, 86, of Lincoln Parle, died on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.

She was a former resident of this city. Born in Passaic, she lived in Clifton for 59 years before moving to Lincoln Park eight years ago. She was a payroll supervisor for Automatic Data Processing, Clifton, for 12 years before retiring in 1976. Also, she was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifton.

She is survived by her sons, Gary of Vernon, and Jay of Parsip-pany; her daughters, Karen Hyde of Clifton, and Lynn Dobkowski of Little Egg Harbor; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur and Paul Ehresmann. Florentine) Arriaga CLIFTON Florentino Arriaga, 62, of Passaic, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. He was a former resident of this city.

Born in Puebla, Mexico, Mr. Arriaga came to the United States and lived in Clifton before moving to Passaic. He worked for Whole Foods, Paramus, for the past five years. Mr. Arriaga is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Szott; his son, Stephen, of Passaic; his mother, Esperanza, of Passaic; and his brothers and sisters, Angela of Passaic, Elsa of Yonkers, N.Y., Bladimir of Lyndhurst, Leo of Passaic, Beto of Puebla, Gustavo of Clifton, Toribia of Passaic, and Felix of Puebla.

He was predeceased by his father, Angel. George Kennedy CLIFTON George A. Kennedy, 78, of this city, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. Born in Wallington, Mr.

Kennedy was a lifelong resident of Clifton. He was a purchasing agent for General Hose, Fairfield, for many years before retiring. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr.

Kennedy is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Dinino; his sons, Thomas and Timothy, both of Clifton; his daughters, Karen Merlini of Hillsborough, and Anne of Seattle, his brothers, John of Massachusetts, Jerome of New Jersey, James of Kentucky, and Dennis of New Jersey; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas. ioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton.

Mrs. Udis is survived by her husband, James; her sons, Hum-berto Sanchez of Phoenix, Arturo Sanchez of Woodland Park, and Carlos Sanchez of Newark; her brothers and sisters; and four grandchildren. Grant Runge CLIFTON Grant V. Runge, 45, of Easton, died on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.

He was a former resident of this city. Born in Valdosta, Mr. Runge lived in Clifton before moving to Easton. He was a technician for Verizon, Easton, for the past 27 years. Also, he was a member of the Communication Workers of America.

Mr. Runge is survived by his wife, the former Lisa Snagusky; his child, Hunter; his parents, Robert and Kay, of Clifton; his brother, Matthew, of Towson, and his sisters, Dawn Babiak of Green Township, and Nickole Runge of Boonton; and his uncles, Gary of Park Ridge, and Richard of West Long Branch. Anna Danko CLIFTON Anna A. Wester-velt Danko, 89, of this city, died on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.

Born in Passaic, Mrs. Danko lived there before moving to Clifton 70 years ago. She worked in the Herald News Classified Department for eight years before retiring in 1987. Previously, she was a bookkeeper for Stern's Department Store, Wayne, and Charles E. Danko Plumbing and Heating Clifton.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Passaic, as well as the Trinity United and First United Methodist Church's Adult Fellowship Club. And, she was a member of Peace Chapter 98 of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clifton. Mrs. Danko is survived by her daughters, Barbara and Nancy Danko of Clifton, and Lorraine Nagle of Little Falls; her sisters, Joyce Hadler of Rutherford, and Geri Gretcula of Toms River; and a grandson. Stella Gusciora CLIFTON Stella Pruch-niewicz Gusciora, 100, of this city, died on Monday, Jan.

7, 2013. Born in Passaic, Mrs. Gusciora lived in Clifton for 67 years. She was a bookkeeper for I.C. Herman Garfield, for 49 years before retiring in 1974.

Also, she was a parishioner of St. John Kan-ty R.C. Church, Clifton, where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Leisure Club. Mrs. Gusciora is survived by her nieces and nephews, Susan Dikun, Chester and Robert Pritch, Linda Ayers, Mary Jane Mietlowski,.
