OBITUARIES 3 -o Funeral was March 1. Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield, handled the arrangements. Arelis Batistia GARFIELD Arelis Batistia, 28, died Feb. 29. Funeral was March 3 at Most Holy Name Church, Garfield.

Eternity Funeral Services, Garfield, handled the arrangements. Mary Euphrosyne, Helen Wehrmann, and Sophie and Ann Norden, are deceased. Funeral was March 1 at Holy Rosary RC. Church, Passaic, with interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.

Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield, handled the arrangements. She was employed by Becton Dickinson, East Rutherford, she worked for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin R.C. Church, Garfield. Surviving are two sisters, Josephine Scro of California and Florence Pirog of Little Falls; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her husband, Joseph, and her sister, June Erazmus, are deceased. Funeral was March 3 with burial at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield, handled the arrangements. Anna Stefancik Anna Stefancik, 97, of Carlisle, formerly of Garfield, died March 1.

Born in Lodi, she resided in Garfield before moving to Penn- sylvania. She was a lifelong parish- ioner of St. John's RO Church, Pas- saic and a member of the Women's 00 Club of the Church. Surviving are her daughters, Joyce Stewart and her husband, Richard, of Camp Hill, Marilyn Saylor and her husband, Benjamin, of Littleton, Barbara Burdzy and her husband, Kenneth, of Moneta, a son, Robert Stefancik and his wife, Sandra, of Moneta, 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Michael, three brothers and three sisters are deceased.

Funeral was March 5 with interment at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Clifton, handled the arrangements. Ramona Puzino GARFIELD Ramona Puzino, 67, died Feb. 28. Born in Liberty, N.Y., she lived in Passaic before moving to Garfield 51 years ago.

She was a quality assurance manager for Path Mark Supermarket in Fair Lawn for 30 years before retiring in 2003. Surviving are her children, Steven and his wife, Danielle, of Fair Lawn, Cheryl Iacobucci and her husband, Thomas, of Garfield, and Tracey Hawryluk and her husband, Ralph, of Newton. Her husband, Joseph, is deceased. Cremation took place at Cedar-lawn Crematory, Paterson. Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield, handled the arrangements.

Elizabeth Sclafani WALLINGTON Elizabeth Sclafani, 87, died March 4. She worked for Thermo Electric Saddle Brook, retiring in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Arlene Durham of Newton; a son, Stephen and his wife, Nancy, of Garfield; a brother, Joseph Yaschur of Elmwood Park; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Salvatore, and her siblings, John Yaschur, Edward Yaschur, Marge Paroby and Mary Koster, are deceased. Funeral was March 6 at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield, with interment at St.

Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Wozniak Home for Funerals, Wallington, handled the Louis Kwiatkowski GARFIELD Louis R. Kwiatkowski, 76, died Feb. 27. Prior to his retirement, he was a toll collector for the Garden State Parkway in Saddle Brook for 10 years.

Previously he was a whole meat distributor with Kwiatkowski Son, Garfield, for 40 years. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church, Garfield, and a former member of the Pulaski Association. He was a veteran of the U.S.

Marines Corps during the Korean War and a member of the Elmwood Park American Legion Post 147. He was a member of the Garfield Board of Health and was active with the Garfield Little League and Babe Ruth League. Surviving are his wife, Bernice; and his children, Louis B. and Lauren, both of Garfield. His brother, Richard, is deceased.

Funeral was March 1 at St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church, Garfield, with interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield, handled the arrangements.

Francis Podolak GARFIELD Francis W. Podolak, 89, died Feb. 26. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was a painting and maintenance worker at the Felician College Complex in Lodi. Previously he owned and operated Podolak's Painting and Decorating in Garfield.

He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary R.C. Church in Passaic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and was a member of the Rosol Dul American Legion Post 359 in Passaic. He was a member on the National AARP.

Surviving are his brothers, Felix C. Podolak of Garfield and Stanley G. Podolak of Elmwood Park. His wife, Sophie, and his siblings, Mary Tofilski, Elizabeth Ciesla, Josephine Rudzik Sr. Your Car! Charities in John Ducar John Ducar, 95, of Milford, formerly of Garfield, died Feb.

27. He was a Navy WWII veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. For 15 years, he was a machinist for Pantasote, Passaic, retiring in 1980. He was a volunteer fireman for Co. No.

3 in Garfield for 52 years and was a former assistant chief and an exempt fireman, a member of the Wallington VFW Post 2640, the U.S.S. Birmingham Navy Reunion Group, SS. Peter Paul Polish National Catholic Leisure Club of Passaic, and a parishioner of Three Saints RO. Church. Surviving are husband of Helen his children, Diane H.

French and her husband, William, and Robert J. Ducar and his wife, Teri; three grandchildren; and a sister, Anne Szuhai, His siblings, Michael Ducar Marie Kimak and Olga Sandy, are deceased. Funeral was March 1 at Three Saints RO. Church, Garfield, with interment at SS. Peter Paul RO.

Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Kimak Funeral Home, Carlstadt, handled the arrangements. Christopher Knoble GARFIELD Christopher Knoble, 22, died Feb. 19. Surviving is his mother, Mary McCarthy of Garfield.

His father, John Knoble, is deceased. Donate Rated One of the Top Czeslaw Butryn GARFIELD Czeslaw Butryn, 55, died March 1. Born in Poland, he came to the United States in 1971. He was a set-up man for Coining Technologies, Clifton, for 30 years. He was a parishioner of St.

Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church, Garfield. Surviving are his wife, Anna, his children, Robert, Adam and Andy Butryn, all of Garfield, Jolanta Krzysik, of Pocono, and Janina Roberts of Garfield; two grandchildren; his mother, Jozefa Butryn of Garfield; and sisters, Jennie Ser-afin of Wallington, Irene Wahl of Long Valley, Krystyna Scieslicki and Anna Butryn, both of Garfield. Funeral was March 5 with interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.

Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield, handled the arrangements. John Collura Jr. GARFIELD John A. Collura 45, died Feb. 23.

Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident of Garfield. Surviving are his mother, Claudette Collura; his sisters, Karen Mital and her husband, Michael, Cynthia Goldie and her husband, Fred, Rosemarie Kad-sand and her husband, Steve; his girlfriend, Evelyn Dee; several nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Linda Francese. His father, John A. Collura is deceased. Services were private at the Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield.

Dolores Van Miert WALLINGTON Dolores Van Miert, 78, died Feb. 29. She was a secretary for Armand Scott Westwood, for 10 years before retiring in 1995. Surviving are her children, David Van Miert of North Arlington, Edward Van Miert and Gail Van Miert, both of Wallington; and a granddaughter. Her husband, Edward is deceased.
