3 Municipal council FORT LEE SUBURBANITE NOVEMBER 2, 2012 Harvey Sohmer I was officially seated on the borough council to fill the seat vacated when Mark Sokolich was elected mayor. I am, once again, seeking reelection this November. I have been a resident of Fort Lee since Thomas A. Bennett Hello, I am Thomas A Bennett. I am running for Council as a Republican.

I have a history of volunteering in Fort Lee. I ran my fabulous $38 dollar Campaign for Fort Lee, Board of Education." I got Peter Campbell I am running for council in Fort Lee to challenge the uncontested and unrestricted power the Sokolich Machine has on the people of Fort Lee. Although nominated for, and supported by the Republican Par Joe Cervieri I care for all in my hometown: senior citizens, children, businesses and employees, the volunteers and all the employees of the Borough who help to make Fort Lee the envy of Bergen County. 1954. 1 am known as a diligent, self-motivated professional.

Before retirement, I was a senior customer Its welcoming, inclusive and encourages all residents to participate and enjoy all that it has to offer. I want Fort Lee to be an affordable place to live. As a third generation resident, I've seen Fort Lee evolve from a small town to a semi- the most votes. I am a retired senior living on a retirement income.

Like other seniors I deal with the rising costs of taxes, health care, gas, food and other necessities. The taxes keep going up. During the last two years about 30 ty, I am running independently of any faction or special interests. As a private citizen and blue collar worker, I am standing up against the Sokolich Administration without any political baggage. I am here to represent all of the urban community with all the benefits of a small city but without most of its problems.

Our Police, Fire Ambulance Corps, and Emergency Management are second to none and collectively make our town a safe place to live, work and raise your family. I believe that I have been a significant contributor in making Fort Lee the best it can possibly be by continuing to deliver high quality government services to its residents at the most cost-effective manner possible. Some years they don't get an increase. The incumbents keep on spending and making errors in judgment. The poor decisions are visible to anyone who looks. They build an eleven million dollar barn with a gym in it and they call it a Community Center. There is no Municipal Pool, no jogging track, no computer room for children nothing but a gym for $11 million.

What a white elephant. They built a $250,000 skateboard park in SEE BENNETT, PAGE 4 citizens Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. Equal representation for all is guaranteed, for I am not accepting any contributions whatsoever. I am funding my campaign entirely myself. As a working man in the bottom 1 of income earners in Fort Lee, I have taken on the establishment as a David against a Goliath without so much as a sling shot.

I am making my campaign a referendum on the Red Light Camera program. I make only four promises. First is accountability and oversight.
