34 Obituaries si Bessie Aliferis Frederick Brune CO CO CM TO Bessie Strigas Aliferis, 89, of Hasbrouck Heights, formerly of Wood-Ridge and Saddle Brook, died April 28. Before retiring, she was an assembler for American Soap Dispenser Carl-stadt, where she worked for 10 years. She was a member of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, Paramus. She also was a member of the 60 Plus Club, Wood-Ridge.

Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Monchak of Hasbrouck Heights; a son, Elias "Leo" of London; three sisters, Jennie Strigas of Ft. Lauderdale, Viola Strigas of Central Falls, R.I. and Angie Boulmetis of Pawtucket, R.I.; and five grandchildren. Her husband, Peter five sisters, Anna, Mary, Helen, Freida and Sylvia, and two brothers, Nicholas and James, are deceased. Services were May 2 at St.

Athanasios Greek Church, with interment in George Washington Memorial Park. Costa Memorial Funeral Home, Hasbrouck Heights, handled arrangements. Memorial donations to the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department would be appreciated. JJmmg Advertising section was also honored for his volunteer efforts. He was an Army veteran and a member of Garfield AARP, Hasbrouck Heights Home Guard Association, and UFCW Local 464A, Little Falls.

Surviving are two sons, George Sr. of Garfield and John of Clifton; a brother, Dominic Fede of South Hackensack; a sister, Rose Schnabel of Las Vegas, four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His wife, Lucy (Merlo), a brother, Ray Fede, and a sister, Jean Fatteross, are deceased. Services were May 1 at Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield, with entombment at Garden of Memories, Washington Township. Robert Pasek GARFIELD Robert E.

Pasek, 56, died May 1. He was a data base administrator for Prudential Financial, Roseland, where he worked for 37 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Passaic.

Surviving are his wife, Maryann (Szymborski), and a brother, Jerome Pasek. Mass was offered May 5 at St. Joseph's Church, with interment in St. Michael's Cemetery. Kamienski Funeral Home, Garfield, handled arrangements.

Mary Filippelli Mary Cenicola Filippelli, 94, of Maywood, formerly of Hackensack, died April 28. Before retiring, she was a saleswoman for Orbach's department store in Paramus. She was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack, and a member of its Third Order.

She was a member of the Maywood Seniors. Surviving are two sisters, Rose Parisi of Rochelle Park and Eleanore Marangella of Paramus, and a brother, Victor Cenicola of Bricktown. Her husband, Silvio, died in 1988. Mass was offered May 2 at St. Francis Church, with interment in St.

Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack. Memorial donations to St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Hackensack 07601, would be appreciated. Josephine Ginty GARFIELD Josephine Robertazzi Ginty, 87, formerly of Elmwood Park, died April 24.

Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Ann Cook of California and Linda Nasta of Wyckoff; two sons, Harold Jr. of Florida and Donald of Kinnelon; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Victoria Amoruso of Hackensack and Mary Torre of Lodi. Services were April 30 at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus, with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Anthony Of Padua "St.

Joseph's Feast," 70 Lodi Hackensack 07602, would be appreciated. Wanda Lugowe GARFIELD Wanda H. Hajek Lugowe, 83, died April 30. Before retiring, she was a teacher's aide at Garfield High School. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Name R.C.

Church, Garfield. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Alexander; a son, Allan a daughter, Alexis Price; and four grandchildren. Mass was offered May 5 at Most Holy Name Church, with interment in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Donations to the American Cancer Society, 468 Parish Drive, Wayne 07470, or Northern New Jersey Rockland Co. Chapter Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 560 Sylvan Englewood Cliffs, 07632, would be appreciated.

Louis Miller Louis C. Miller, 91, of Lodi, died April 30. Before retiring in 1980, he was a butcher and owned Union Market, Lodi, for 40 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving is a brother, Eugene Miller of Ocala, Fla.

His wife, Anne (Meyers), a brother, Edward Miller, and a sister, Irene Zaino, are deceased. Mass was offered May 5 at St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church, with interment in St. Francis Cemetery.

Alesso Funeral Home, Lodi, handled arrangements. Elfriede Pavan Elfriede Forbieger Schubert Pavan, 89, of Wayne, formerly of Clifton, North Haledon and Garfield, died April 24. She was born in Germany. Before retiring, she was assistant cafeteria manager for Wright Aeronautical, Wood-Ridge, where she worked for 18 years. She was a former parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C.

Church, Passaic, and a member of its Senior Citizens. Surviving are a daughter, Elsie Gould of North Haledon and Richfield Springs, N.Y.; three grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Hildegard Muck of Pough-keepsie, N.Y. Mass was offered April 28 at St. Anthony's R.C. Church.

Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne, handled arrangements. Frederick G. Brune, 76, of Manchester, formerly of Maywood, died April 26. Before retiring in 1996, he was a machinist for Stell Rom Cam, Mahwah, where he worked for 50 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Gabrielle (Tiene); a son, Keith David; a daughter, Wendy; a grandchild; and a brother, Louis John. D'Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood, handled arrangements. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, Ocean Unit, 1035 Hooper Toms River 08753, would be appreciated. Joseph Cagman Joseph Cagman, 67, of Saddle Brook, formerly of Ridgefield and Garfield, died April 29. Before retiring, he was a quality control inspector for Bendix-Honeywell Teterboro, and was a member of the United Aeronautics Workers Union.

Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn, handled arrangements. Emanuel Fede Emanuel "Manny" Fede, 93, of Hasbrouck Heights, formerly of Lodi and Garfield, died April 27. He was born in Modica, Italy. Before retiring in 1962, he was the store manager for Guarantee Food Store, Hackensack, where he worked for 30 years, and was a member of United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 464A, Little Falls. He volunteered every weekday at the Garfield Senior Citizens Nutrition Center for many years.
