Recipients of numerous awards, including the coveted Myrtle Wreath Award from Hadassah, she has been a frequent critic, lecturer and discussant for Hadassah, the YM-YWHA, Daughters of Miriam, Temple Sisterhoods and Study Groups, Book-of-the-Lunch Series of the Fair Lawn Jewish Community, American Jewish Congress, and Education Seminars of the Jewish Federation of North Jersey, among others. The Englewood Public Library is located at 31 Engle James Fay James W. Fay, 89, of Hillsdale, formerly of Palisades Park and Fort Lee died Thursday, April 13. Born in Palisades Park he was a managing director and inspector officer for the state Division of Motor Vehicle Center in Lodi. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a past commander of the Englewood Yacht Club.

He is survived by his wife Joyce (nee: Albertson); his children JoAnn Ross, Mary Lou Tindale and Paul Brodek; his grandchildren Amy, Joel, Kate, Gregory, Bryan and Keith; and his great-granddaughter Mia. He was predeceased by sisters Lillian, Frances, Viola and brothers Thomas, Martin, Roger, and Edward. Funeral Arrangements were made by Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Directors, Fort Lee. Patroula Triantafillakis Patroula Triantafillakis (nee Papatherou), 80, of Fort Lee died Wednesday, April 19.

Born in Greece, she came to the United States in 1967. She is survived by her husband John, daughter Jo Ann Samaklis, sons Tommy and Nicholas, and six grandchildren. Funeral Arrangements were made by Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Directors, Fort Lee. Grace Parker Grace Parker (nee Brennan), 85, of Fort Lee, died Saturday, April 22.

She was born in Bronx, N.Y Mrs. Parker was a homemaker. She was a member of the 475 Main Street Senior Citizens, Fort Lee. She was a parishioner of Madonna Church, Fort Lee. She was the wife of the late Robert.

She was predeceased by her son Robert Parker. She is survived by her children Maureen Nicholas, Nancy and Lorraine Parker; her eight grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were made by Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Directors, Fort Lee. Rose Darian Rose Darian (nee Nalbandian), 87, of Norwood, died Saturday, April 22. She was born in Armenia.

She was a member of the Armenian Sisterhood of Bergen County. were murdered in the Holocaust when he was a child, and all his life he's struggled with difficult questions. Edith Sobel of Fort Lee, lecturer, journalist, critic, reviewer and commentator, will discuss Jonathan Rosen's 2004 novel, "Joy Comes in the Morning," at a meeting of the Englewood-Tikvah-Chaverut (ETC) Chapter of Hadassah Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Englewood Public Library's Mackay Room. The program is free and open to the public. Sobel noted, "Jonathan Rosen's new novel examines faith and doubt through a rabbi questioning her conviction and a skeptic questioning his own. But above all, it is a modern love story told with humor and with darkness as well as light.
