OBITUARIES Burton Ira Glaubinger Fort Lee JoAnna Alampi of Fair Lawn, his Brother Carmine and his wife Annmarie of Paramus and many nieces and nephews. Anthony was the proprietor of Alampi's Deli (Paramus) and Alampi's Luncheonette (Bergen-field) for many years. Anthony was an NRA Benefactor Member, Regional Vice President of the Associaton of N.J. Pistol Rifle, NRA 2nd Amendment Task Force, Senior Trainer with the NRA and a member of several Gun Clubs throughout the state. Funeral arrangements were made by Iliff-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 156 Main St.

(Route 206), Newton. The Funeral Service was at Iliff-Rugge-rio Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 9:30 a.m. with interment at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Berta Bauer Cresskill Group based in Tinian.

After the war, he completed studies at Northeastern University, and worked for many years as an Electrical and Systems Engineer at Western Union and Chase Manhattan, before retiring in 1989. William is a member of the American Legion Post 30, a Lifetime member of the Harrington Park Ambulance Corps, and parishioner of Our Lady of Victories Church in Harrington Park. William is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane (Denning). Father of William X. and his wife Marie, Westwood; David and his wife Joan, Park Ridge; Gerard and his wife Ellen, Andover, Timothy and his wife Margie, Norcross, Robert and his wife Kathy, Westwood; Jeanne and her husband Tom Lane, Mount Airy, Thomas and his wife Maureen, Park Ridge; and Steven, Harrington Park.

Loving grandfather of Matthew, Glenn, Elyse, Brian, Kevin, Scott, Ryan, Molly, Shannon, Timothy, Lauren, Michael, Ryan Desmond, Keegan and Aiden Lane. Brother of Evelyn (Desmond) Casey, Watertown, Anne Desmond, Belmont, the late Daniel Desmond, Belmont, and the late Mary Theresa, Belmont, Mass. Funeral Mass was Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Harrington Park, followed by burial at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, N.Y.

Cherished wife of Walter. Devoted mother to Margaret G. Durkin. Loving grandmother to Cheryl Savornas and Kristine Dabb. Dear sister-in-law of Eunice Aschoff.

Mrs. Aschoff was the church organist and a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Palisades Park. She was the music director of the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood for 30 years. She taught piano locally and was a member of the National Piano Teachers Guild. Cremation to be private.

Anthony Alampi Fort Lee electrician for many years. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Northvale Republican Club. A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the Anthony R.

Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Northvale. Interment followed at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, N.Y. Sybil R. Moses Englewood Sybil R. Moses, a New Jersey judge who gained national attention as a prosecutor in the case against a doctor accused of killing five patients, died Friday.

She was 69. Moses, who had breast cancer, died at her home in Englewood, her family said. She had retired from the bench in October after serving as a judge in Bergen County for 21 years. Moses began her legal career as an assistant prosecutor in Bergen County and gained national recognition when she served as lead prosecutor in the case against Dr. Mario Jascalevich.

The so-called "Dr. accused of using the poison curare to kill five patients at a hospital in Oradell was acquitted by a jury in 1978, but Moses won praise for her work. A short time later, Moses was named a state administrative law judge and held the post until she was appointed a state Superior Court judge in 1987. She became the state's first female assignment judge in 1997 when she was appointed by Deborah Poritz, who then was chief justice of the state Supreme Court. William Joseph Desmond Harrington Park William Joseph Desmond of Harrington Park, passed away Jan.

23. Born on Oct. 19, 1923 in Belmont, Mass. to William and Lucy Desmond. William served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp as First Lieutenant, copilot of B-29 "Strange Cargo" in the 393rd Atomic Bombardment squadron, 509th Composite Berta Bauer (nee Bopp), age 100 of Cresskill, died on Jan.

21. Beloved wife of the late Fred. Devoted mother of Elizabeth Amicucci and her husband John. Loving Oma of John and his wife Connie and Fred Amicucci. Great Oma of John, Harrison and Luke.

Also survived by several cousins in Germany. Funeral Service Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Our Savior Lutheran Church Cresskill. Interment George Washington Memorial Park Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Luke's Episcopal Church 43 Massachusetts Haworth N.J.

24. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Schneider). Loving father of Ronald of Pomona, N.Y., and Valerie Cooper and her husband William of Piscataway. Adored grandfather of Stacy Culver of West Nyack, N.Y., and Ryan Cooper of Dunelen. Cherished great grandfather of Alexandria and Michael.

Before retiring, Bloyd was an Burton Ira Glaubinger, a longtime resident of Fort Lee, affectionately known by all as "Burt" was born 71 years ago in Washington Heights. He lived, and was part of Fort Lee for half a century. Burt was never married and had no brothers or sisters, but he did have a loving Aunt Hilda who died 1 1 years ago. While he had no real family, Burt was everybody's relative and friend. People gravitated to him because of his unique personality and strange sense of humor.

He worked for many years at United Fruit in Hoboken and then went to work for the Borough of Fort Lee, first as a truck driver then as a dispatcher, retiring in 2002 as a Code Enforcer for the Building Department. His real love and commitment was to the Fort Lee Fire Department, Palisade Company 4 where he was a member, presently serving as the Treasurer of the Fort Lee Exempt Firemen's Association. Commander of the Palisade Power Squadron, an honorary member of the V.F.W. no. 2342.

His many friends called him "The Deputy Mayor." He was a regular around Main Street and certainly a fixture at Fort Lee Hardware; he knew where everything was in the store and more times than not, you got his advice and wisdom free of charge. His service was Monday, Jan. 26 at the Eden Memorial Chapels, 327 Main "opposite the Ft. Lee Library." He received a Procession of Honor passing all four firehous-es with a private cremation following. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the Palisade Company 4, Scholarship Memorial Fund, PO Box 3148, Fort Lee, N.J.

Murry was a principal partner in DeLuxe Embroidery and Lipson-Warner Designs. He held several executive offices in The Schiffli Embroidery Association. A member of Golden Rule Masonic Lodge, he rose to become the Master of the Lodge. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Rochelle and their children; Howard and his wife Elaine, Jack, Julie and her husband Dan Dan-son, and nine grandchildren; Talia, Nicole, Jillian, Leah, Eli, Sarah, Jordyn, Jason and Lauren, all of whom he dearly loved. Services were held Wednesday, Jan.

28 at Gutterman and Musicant, 402 Park Hackensack. If desired, Anthony Alampi, 57, of Sussex County formerly of Fort Lee and Paramus, died on Jan. 28. Beloved husband of Maria (nee DiPaola) formerly of Totowa. Beloved stepfather to Kurt and Emily Lichten-stein of Newton.

Predeceased by his parents, Santo (Sonny) and Amalia Alampi of Fort Lee and Paramus. Survived by his Sister, Louise Jameson Fort Lee Louise Jameson (nee Van Hook), age 78, of Sea Bright, formerly of Fort Lee, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Jan. 26. Beloved wife of Warren C. Jameson.

Devoted mother of Warren and his wife Doreen, Jay and his wife Jane and Timothy and his wife Laurie. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Emily, Jillian and Paul. Dear sister of Rose and the Late Jacqueline. Religious Service was Friday, Jan. 30 in the Funeral Home.
