He was born in Jersey City and served his country proudly in the Army during WWII.

He was a Furrier for Herman Bash, NYC and a member of the VFW Post 4365. Beloved husband of Connie (nee Matrongolo). Devoted father of Robert Albanese and his wife Robin, Joseph Albanese and Connie's daughter Cathleen Jones. Cherished grandfather of Michael. Dear brother of Mary Poppo, Thomas Albanese and the late Vincent, Mario, Vito, Michael and Peter Albanese.

The family will receive their friends on Friday 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library." ASCHER Tillie, 83, of Allendale, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Garden City, NY before moving to Allendale in 2004. Tillie was a parishioner of Guardian Angel Church in Allendale and formerly of St. Anne's Parish in Garden City. She is survived by her loving children Jean Borzilleri and husband Peter of Allendale, John Ascher and Edward Sypniewski of Manhattan, Thomas Ascher and wife Carol of Massapequa, NY and Stephen Ascher and wife Joanne of Garden City.

She is also survived by her beloved sister Rose Scheidecker of Lynbrook, NY and eight grandchildren: Gregory, Amanda, Jessica, Kyle, Owen, Grace, Christopher, and Matthew. Asgar was born on April 28, 1928, she attended Mary Grove college in Detroit, Michigan, and later married Dr. Asgar in 1948, in Ann Arbor Michigan. She is survived by her husband Dr. Kamal Asgar, her son Andrew, and her three grandchildren, Farah, Christine, and Jessica. Mr. Fogarty was a Korean War Marines veteran. He retired after 25 years of service as a firefighter with the NYC Fire Department and was a Hillsdale Crossing Guard for 5 years.

Mr. Fogarty was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Twp. of Washington and member of the VFW, Park Ridge. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Vivian (Fucarino) Fogarty, his son Richard C. Fogarty and his wife Laura, his daughters Joanne Koppers and her husband Thomas and Lynne M.

He graduated from St. Peter's College with a degree in Accounting. He went on to form Garbarini and Co. CPA's, RMA's in Carlstadt where he actively served as partner, alongside his son, up until his death. Paul was an active parishioner and finance committee member of the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge, NJ.

He served as Chairperson of the School Ethics Commission of the N. J. State Dept. of Education and was a member of the Carlstadt Lions Club. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lois (nee Schmalz).

Devoted father of Paul W. Garbarini and his wife, Kathy of Upper Saddle River, and Susan Rabinowitz and her husband Larry, of Hillsdale. Adored grandfather to Kristin, Paul, Jack and Emily. GLOWASKI Elsie D. (nee Glen), age 80, a lifelong resident of Saddle Brook, went home to the Lord on October 18, 2011, with her devoted daughter Maria by her side. She was a bookkeeper for prior to marriage and dedicating herself to her husband and daughter. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward Glowaski, three brothers, Edward, Theodore, and Bruno Glen, and a sister, Marion Pruefer.

Extraordinarily devoted and loving mother of Dr. Maria Glowaski of Columbus, Ohio. A very special "thank you" to the superb doctors, nurses (especially in the SICU) and all who provided exceptional care for her at the Hackensack University Medical Center. She was loved by all who's lives she touched with her strength and endurance and will be immeasurably and painfully missed. Cook was born in Hoboken, NJ and had lived in the Pemberton area for the last 25 years. She was employed at the Hedger House in Chatsworth and she loved flowers and gardening. Born in the Bronx, she and her family moved to Rutherford, NJ in 1952 where she attended St Mary's Grammar and High Schools. She earned a BS Degree in Medical Technology from St. John's University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Upon graduation from St.

John's, Rose Marie worked in the laboratories at Mountainside and Mon-tclair Community hospitals. Subsequently, she was a quality assurance engineer for both Becton Dickinson Co. and Johnson Johnson, participating significantly in the development of the standards for new cardiac stent. Upon early retirement and aided by her fluency in three languages, Rose Marie and her husband pursued her love of travel, both in Europe and the United States. One of her most memorable experiences was piloting her own barge through the canals of Provence with her sister Marianne and husband Tom.

Rose Marie was a very giving person, offering up freely her time, talents and friendship. A breast cancer survivor, Rose Marie joined the Paramus Volunteer Ambulance Corps to "repay the fates" for her good fortune, and was one of the responders at Ground Zero on September 12, 2001, hoping to rescue survivors and heart-breakingly finding none. She spent seven years on the Corps before her illness forced her to resign. She was active in Annunciation Parish, participating in the food bank, cooking and delivering food to the parish charities and numerous other parish activities. She was also a talented artist, an avid gardener and a lover of all types of music.

She had been studying the violin and the flute when ALS forced her to stop. Rose Marie was a gentle person who was loved and admired by all who knew her, a trite phrase but in this case true, and she leaves this world a better place. She is predeceased by her parents, Marie and Alois Lautner and is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Bob, and by her sisters Marianne (Tom) Jones and Louise (Chris) Kelly and her brother in law John (Loretta) Bleier and sister-in-law Virginia Bleier and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Saturday 10:30 AM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, S-113 Farview Avenue, Paramus, followed by an 11 AM Funeral Mass at the R.C. Church of the Annunciation, Paramus.

She was employed at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD. She also worked as a medical malpractice investigator for Lesnevich and Marzano-Lesnevich in Hackensack, NJ.

She is the daughter of the late Edward Dotoli and Theresa DeToli (Terri). She also leaves her sisters Dana Dotoli and her husband Tyler Smith of Albuquerque, NM. and Danielle DeToli of Lynd-hurst, NJ, Godchild Aidan DeToli of Lyndhurst, NJ and nephew Jake Smith of Albuquerque, NM. She also leaves her life partner of many years Michele Mulligan. Funeral services were private.

FEIST Alvin, passed away on Au gust 21, 2011 at his home in Port Orange, FL. He was born October 13, 1926 to Ed-mond and Gladys (Tyler) Feist in Hackensack, NJ. A veteran, he honorably served in the navy during World War II.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He retired as an engineer from NJ Bell after 39 years. He moved to Florida in 1996 from Midlothian, VA. He was a lifetime member of the Masons, a member of the Sociable Seniors, the Summertrees Social Club and the Port Orange Recreational Travel Club. Alvin was an avid bowler and liked to travel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Barbara (Frazer), son, Roger (Vicki) Feist, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, daughter, Donna (Douglas) Pollack of Midlothian, VA, sister, Edna Clark of Hackensack, NJ, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two nephews and many cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:30 AM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ, followed by a Graveside Service at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ at 1:30 PM.
