and William Hugh Holstein, "bride Wilmington, Del. The the former Miss Elizabeth Lillian Higgins, daughter of Mrs. Leo Francis Higgins, 3605 Washington Street, Wilmington, formerly of Allwood, and the late Mr. Higgins. The reception was at the Hotel duPont, in Wilmington.

bride, given in marriage by her uncle, James V. McGowan, wore a gown of satin and Chantilly lace. It was fashioned with panels of chapel en full skirt ending in a train. Her veil fell from a matching lace cap with orange blossoms on either side. She carried valley lilies with white glamelias.

Mrs. Harry Stagg, of Bloomfield, was honor matron in a strapless gown of dusty rose taffeta with deeper velvet trim and stole. Frank Mettfett was hostess, and a luncheon by Mmes. Howard Haenskell and Marrien Bloomsberg. The groom's parents were hosts at a cocktail party in honor of the couple, and entertained the bridal party following the rehearsal Friday evening. The bride is a graduate of Delaware Hospital School of Nursing and before her marriage was in charge of the premature nursery at Delaware Hospital. The groom was graduated from Mercersburg and Academy is with and ton University Pont Company, After their ding trip the couple will motor to Victoria, Texas, where they will make their home.

Avis Edna O'Brien Bride of Engineer Mrs. Paul J. O'Brien, 125 Mortimer Avenue, Rutherford, announce the marriage of her daughter, Avis Edna, to Albert Olson, of Springfield, Mass. The bride's father was the late Dr. O'Brien, of East Rutherford.

Mr. Olson is the son of Mrs. Ollie Olson, of Milwaukee, and the late Mr. Olson. The wedding took place September 27 at Wesleyan Methodist Church, East Rutherford.

A small family reception followed at the Essex House, Newark. Mrs. Olson is a graduate of Passaic Collegiate School and attended New Jersey College for Women. Mr. Olson, a research engineer with a Springfield, rubber company, is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.

The couple will live in Springfield. N. Y. Girl to Marry Douglas R. Webb Miss Kathleen C.

Willis, 94 Fourth Avenue, New York, and Douglas Rodney Webb, 66 Lincoln Place, East Rutherford, have obtained a marriage license in New York City. They said they would be married shortly. Miss Willis was born in West Point, N.Y., the daughter of James S. and Kathleen C. Willis.

Schepis Jeanette Greene Brooklyn Girl, Rabbi Rockove Affianced Jeanette Greene Betrothed to Hillel Academy Principal Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Greene, of Brooklyn, N. have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jeannette, to Rabbi Solomon Rockove, principal of Hillel Academy. Miss Greene, a graduate of Herzeliah Seminary is a senior in the School of Education City College of New York.

She is a member of Hillel Foundation and Intercollegiate Council of Young Israel. For the past two years she has been vice-president of the Hapoel Hamizrachi, Zionist, youth Rockove, organization. son of Mrs. Harry Rockove, of Detroit, and the late Mr. Rockove, came to 'Passaic from Brooklyn where he was principal of Yeshiva of RidgeHe received his BS in education at City College where he was graduated cum laude.

He was ordained by the Rabbinical Seminary of America, and is a student at the Advanced School of Columbia University. Rabbi Rockove is president of National Federation of Principals of Hebrew Day schools and is cochairman of the board of license for teachers of Hebrew schools chairman of the board of examiners. William Skudre, 42 Arthur Street, Clifton, and late Mr. Skudre, will become the bride of Robert J. Hauser, son of Mr. Hauser, 284 Ackerman Avenue, Clifton, and the late Mrs. Hauser.

A dinner-reception for 75. guests will be held at Passaic Turn Hall. A buffet supper will be held later for 250.. The bride-elect was honored at a shower recently at Zanetti's Hall, Clifton. Her attendants were hostesses to 60 guests.

Former Fair Lawn Girl Engaged to Florida Man The engagement of Miss Joan Stewart, formerly of Fair Lawn, to Nial Edward Pace, of Daytona Beach, has been announced by her mother, Mrs. Rose V. Ferry, at Daytona Beach, where they have been living since last March. Miss Stewart is with Crawford and Company, of Daytona Beach, and Pace is employed by the City of Daytona Beach. Rutherford Couple Wed at St. Mary's Rose Vizzi, Bride-Elect Honored at Shower Rose Vizzi Miss Rose Vizzi was honored recently at a bridal shower by her sister, Connie, and her fiance's mother, Mrs. Frank Volanzola. were 55 guests. The bride-elect, daughter of Mr.

Miss Irene DiCostanzo, maid of honor for her sister, wore emerald green velvet and net, with matching headband and carried rust and gold pompons.

Misses Goody Lober and Judy Goldstein wore similar bridesmaids' costumes in gold velvet and net and carried similar bouquets. William Wachtler, of Rockville Center, N.Y., was best man. Ushers were Michael DiCostanzo, William Bivona, Michael Bivona and Quentin Hyatt. Mrs. Bivona is a graduate of William Smith College.

The groom served with navy during World War II and is a graduate of Hobart College where he was a member of Theta Delta Chi Fraternity. He is employed by at Eatontown. in Red Bank, after honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Bivona, will live in Bermuda where they will be at the Elbow Beach Hotel.

Announcement Party For Barbara Diekhaus Mr. and Mrs. Edward Diekhaus, 515 Garden Street, Carlstadt, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Barbara, to Ernest Ketterer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ketterer, 49 East 17th Street, Paterson.
